Why I'm Running - Join My Team
This year, I'm participating in the Livestrong Run for the Roses 5K—not because I'm a runner (I'll probably be walking! 😊), but because cancer has touched the lives of so many people I love.
I'm walking in memory of my sister-in-law, Lynn, who lost her battle with cancer far too young. I'm also walking in honor of my mother-in-law, who is courageously fighting cancer today, and my mom, who has thankfully beaten breast cancer not once, but twice.
One thing I've learned is that staying active and taking care of our health is an important part of both cancer prevention and survivorship. Every step is a reminder to appreciate the gift of movement and to support those whose journeys are much harder than a 5K.
I'd love for you to join my team! Whether you walk or run in Austin or participate virtually from wherever you are, you'll be making a difference while doing something good for yourself.
Together, we can honor those we've lost, support those still fighting, celebrate survivors, and help Livestrong continue its mission.
Let's make an impact—one step at a time. 💛I hope you’ll join me in making a meaningful impact for those affected by cancer. Would you consider supporting my journey?
Thank you for being part of this mission and for standing with me as I take on this challenge.
With Gratitude,
Susan Hanold
