Why I am riding?
Friday 6th Mar
Almost 25 years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation forever changed. At the time, I was a Lieutenant with the New York City Police Department and involved in the aftermath of the events from that day. Even though I was called upon the days and weeks after the attack, it does not mean that I have stronger feelings – or more of a right to have stronger feelings – than any person who was not there. In a way, we were all there and we all felt.
We gain strength and courage from our experiences and the experiences of our fellow Americans. I know, for me, I am stronger because of them. I am riding for them and for us!
