Help Us Carry Their Legacy Forward
On the 25th anniversary of September 11th, we are joining forces to ride 343 miles in the 2026 Ride for Resilience—honoring the fallen, supporting the survivors, and standing with the first responders who carry the unseen toll of service.
This mission is deeply personal for both of us:
Bill: As an FDNY Captain with 20 years on the job, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial physical and mental health resources are for our community. Breaking the stigma around mental health, PTSD, and suicide awareness is just as vital as fighting job-related cancer.
Kia: As a licensed social worker, I’ve been dedicated to this cause since 2001, when I began working with Friends of Firefighters as a 15-year-old in the wake of 9/11.
We are riding to raise critical funds for Friends of Firefighters, Livestrong, and the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation—and carrying the memory of four incredible men lost to cancer: Aaron Clark, Tommy Phelan, Tony Cat, and Billy Hodgens.
Every dollar raised directly funds mental health counseling, crisis support, and cancer care for first responders and their families. Please consider donating and sharing our page—we truly can’t do this without your support.
