I am a Lieutenant on the Boston Fire Department and sitting Board Member on the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation. Occupational cancer has been a plague on our job and has taken the lives of some of my closest friends. My close friend, Dan Ranahan, fought through occupational cancer and created the Boston Fire Cancer Foundation where he still works everyday to make a difference.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I've committed to raising funds as we ride 343 miles to honor the fallen, support the survivors, and stand with the first responders who still fight battles most of us never see, including cancer, trauma, and the toll of years spent serving others.
