Battle to Bib: My Journey Beyond Cancer!

I am a breast cancer survivor.
In 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed were surgeries, radiation, and a journey that challenged me in ways I never expected. Thanks to incredible doctors, nurses, and advancements in cancer treatment, I am proud to say—I am a survivor.
Survival, though, is just the beginning of a new chapter.
Over time, I’ve been working to rebuild my strength, focus on my health, and set new goals for myself. Little by little, month by month, I’ve been pushing forward—and now I’m taking on an exciting new challenge: participating in the runDisney 10K in January 2027.
This race represents so much more than miles to me. It’s a celebration of how far I’ve come, a commitment to my future, and a way to give back.
I’m running with Team LIVESTRONG to support continued cancer research and programs that help others navigate their own cancer journeys. Because of research and compassionate care, I’m here today—and I want to help ensure that more people have that same chance.
This race is more than just a finish line—it’s a celebration of survival, strength, and hope.
