Help me reach my goal of $5,000

I am riding the Leadville 100 mountain bike race to help raise money for cancer

On August 15, 2026, I will ride the Leadville 100 mountain bike race.  The 105 mile race entails an elevation gain of 12,300 feet reaching a peak elevation of 12,500 feet above sea level.  I've been training for the past eight months and am excited for the challenge.

I am riding the race in honor of my mom, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer over a year ago.  Originally, her diagnosis was not positive but with her strength, positivity, amazing doctors, and new breakthroughs in treatments she is doing very well.  Medical research has led to treatments such as immunotherapy which have worked wonders with my mom.

As part of the race, I’ve committed to raising funds for LIVESTRONG to support people navigating cancer at every stage — patients, survivors, and their loved ones. Funds raised help provide critical, free programs like fertility support for young adults facing cancer who hope to build a family one day; the LIVESTRONG at the Y program, which offers fitness and wellness classes at YMCAs to help survivors regain strength and confidence after treatment; and Ellis, Livestrongs AI service that connects individuals to trusted information, and resources, when they need it most.
