I’m running 26.2 miles with Livestrong because cancer touches every family—including mine.
I’ve committed to raising funds for LIVESTRONG to support people navigating cancer at every stage — patients, survivors, and their loved ones. Funds raised help provide critical, free programs to cancer patients, cancer survivors and loved ones of those touched by cancer.
Running for a charity is always meaningful, but being accepted by Livestrong is especially personal for me. I lost my father to pancreatic cancer more than seven years ago. Almost overnight, he went from being healthy and newly retired to receiving a stage 4 diagnosis, This experience changed my life, and knowing that I’ll be raising funds to support other families facing similar challenges will inspire me every step of the way. I’ll be running all 26.2 miles not just for myself, but for everyone touched by cancer.
