Help me reach my goal of $3,500

Filled With Gratitude and Drive to Run for a Cause

Hey  Everyone! 

If you know me, you know that running has been a passion of mine since a very young age. Starting with cross country in 6th grade and continuing into last year running 1 mile every single day. After completing my running challenge last year (running 477 miles across 13 states and 3 countries) my sights locked in on running a marathon with a cause. 

One thing you may not know about me is the connection to LIVESTRONG that runs deep in my bones.The driving force behind this decision is strong and hits too close to home. My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. He was the healthiest man I knew and watching how surgery and radiation put him on his butt was devastating. We are so blessed  and thankful that he is still with us and in remission 6 years and counting!  

This is why I have committed to raising funds to support people navigating the treacherous waters of cancer. All funds raised here will help provide critical, free programs such as fertility support for young adults facing cancer who hope to build a family one day, of LIVESTRONG at the Y which offers fitness/ wellness classes at YMCA's to help survivors regain strength and confidence after treatment. Cancer knows no boundaries it takes from us whether we are rich or poor, strong or weak, young or old so let's support those fighting this battle. 

This year I am running the New York City Marathon to honor those we have lost and support those still fighting. This is for all of you; Dad, Joe, Steve, Suzie, Lia, Molly, and Kalen.
