More Than a Marathon: Running to Power Cancer Patient Resources
I’m honored to be running the New York City Marathon as a part of the LIVESTRONG Foundation team to help raise critical funds for cancer research and patient support. My mom is a breast cancer survivor, and walking alongside her through that journey allowed me to witness her strength, resilience and determination firsthand. This inspired me in ways I can’t even fully put into words.
In my professional life, I care for breast cancer patients every single day. I see the courage it takes to face a a diagnosis, the physical and emotional toll of treatment, and the hope that research and support services provide. That’s why raising money for this foundation means so much to me— it directly impacts the lives of people and families navigating cancer right now.
