Running for Something Bigger Than Me
This year I decided to take on one of the biggest challenges of my life by running a marathon. It's something I've wanted to do for a while, and I wanted it to be about more than just crossing the finish line. That's why I'm raising money for the Livestrong Foundation.
Cancer affects millions of people every year, whether it's someone battling the disease themselves or the family and friends supporting them. The Livestrong Foundation helps provide resources, guidance, and support to people going through one of the hardest times in their lives. I wanted my marathon to stand for something bigger than myself, and I can't think of a better cause to run for.
Training for a marathon has already taught me that it takes dedication, patience, and the willingness to keep pushing even when things get hard. While running 26.2 miles will be one of the toughest things I've ever done, it doesn't compare to the challenges that so many people face every day while fighting cancer.
