Cancer Survivors Need Your Support Now More Than Ever
On 7 March 2027, I will run the Tokyo Marathon, the final step in my journey to complete the six original World Marathon Majors and earn my Six Star Medal.
But this race is about much more than running.
I lost my mother to cancer when she was far too young. Over the years, I have also seen friends and family face this disease, and supporting the fight against cancer has become a cause deeply personal to me.
For many years, I have supported CRIS Contra el Cáncer, an organisation dedicated to advancing cancer research and developing better treatments. I firmly believe in the power of science to change lives and bring us closer to a future where more people can overcome cancer.
For this final marathon, I am proud to run for LIVESTRONG, whose mission complements that work by helping people affected by cancer navigate the challenges of diagnosis, treatment and life beyond cancer.
Research brings hope for tomorrow. Supporting patients and survivors helps make life better today.
As I prepare to complete my Six Star journey, I would love to turn this personal milestone into something meaningful for others.
